Cast Glass - Deep Sea Starfish

Clay first had to be shaped to create the unique molds used to form the starfish in this creation. This thick cast glass piece required an extremely long firing cycle but the results were worth the wait. The clear "breaking in rays" of sunlight enhance the rich sky blue color.
